Two-Factor Authentication

tip

This guide covers native two-factor authentication for Linux and Windows systems, as well as via the TRASAGATE RADIUS server. In most cases, we recommend using the TRASAGATE access proxy for two-factor authentication.

While the TRASAGATE access proxy offers two-factor authentication without the need to install agents on servers, native two-factor authentication integrations provide an additional layer of last-mile security protection.

TRASAGATE currently supports native two-factor authentication for:

  1. Windows systems: Using credential providers.
  2. Linux and Unix systems: Using PAM (Pluggable Authentication Module) modules.
  3. Hardware devices: Using RADIUS server integration.
