Adhoc Access

In some cases, services assigned to you might require explicit permission from an administrator before you can access them. TRASAGATE's adhoc access feature allows you to request temporary access to these services, ensuring that access is granted only when necessary and with proper oversight.

Identifying Services that Require Adhoc Access

Services that require adhoc access are marked with a red shield icon in your TRASAGATE dashboard. This icon indicates that you need to request temporary access from an administrator before you can use the service.

Once you submit your request, the administrator will review it and decide whether to approve or deny your access. You will receive an email notification informing you of their decision.

Benefits of Adhoc Access

Adhoc access provides several key benefits for both users and administrators:

  1. Increased Security: By requiring users to request access to sensitive services, TRASAGATE ensures that access is granted only when necessary and with proper justification. This reduces the risk of unauthorized access and helps maintain a strong security posture.

  2. Improved Access Control: Adhoc access allows administrators to maintain tight control over who can access specific services and for how long. This granular level of control is essential for enforcing the principle of least privilege and preventing access creep.

  3. Auditability and Accountability: TRASAGATE logs all adhoc access requests and decisions, creating a clear audit trail of who requested access, who granted or denied it, and why. This information can be invaluable for compliance purposes and for investigating potential security incidents.

  4. Flexibility for Users: Adhoc access gives users the flexibility to request access to services on an as-needed basis, without requiring permanent access rights. This ensures that users can perform their job duties efficiently while still maintaining a high level of security.

By leveraging TRASAGATE's adhoc access functionality, organizations can strike a balance between security and productivity, ensuring that users have the access they need to do their jobs while minimizing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches.
